Family Monuments
A family monument or “head stone” is meant to mark either the center of a large plot with two rows of burial space or the top center of a smaller plot even as small as one single burial space. The most traditional ways a head stone is engraved would include the last name or names of the family only and the locations and names of those buried signified by foot stones or the head stone would have all the information engraved on it with no need for additional foot stones.
